Born in London, May 1954. Admitted as an English Solicitor in 1981 (non practising)  admitted to the Portuguese Bar in 1987. Graduated in Law at London University in 1977 and at Coimbra University in 1982.

With Hedleys Solicitors from 1978 to 1986, becoming a partner in 1984.  Legal Advisor to the Portuguese Consulate General in the UK from 1981 to 1986.  Set up a practice in London in association with Abreu & Marques in 1987.  Founder member of NEVILLE DE ROUGEMONT in 1989.

Author of “Your home in Portugal” 1989, co-author of the Manual of the Portuguese Foreign Investment and Trade Office. Author of “A Guide to the Portuguese Property Tax Reforms”, 2003. Has published regular articles and reports in Law journals and newspapers on corporate law and taxation. Regular contributor to the Homes Overseas Magazine. Invitation speaker on EU Grants and subsidies for investment in Portugal. Non-executive director of major English-owned Company in Portugal.

Member of the Portuguese Bar. Chairman of the Portuguese UK Chamber of Commerce 2004 - 2007. Member of the International Bar Association.

Fluent in English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.

Clubs: Royal Thames Yacht Club, Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Royal Solent Yacht Club, Royal British Club, Oporto Lawn Tennis and Cricket.
