Neville de Rougemont & Associados was established in 1987, and has fully transactional offices located in Portugal (Lisbon and Faro), United Kingdom and Cape Verde. Conceived in the Anglo-Saxon tradition, our aim is to be perceived as an international law firm within the Portuguese market offering advice in areas of law and expertise not generally available in traditional firms.
Neville de Rougemont & Associados was incorporated by Rosemary de Rougemont, who is dually qualified as an English Solicitor and Portuguese Lawyer, graduating in 1977 in London and in 1982 from Coimbra University in Portugal. Our first office was in the City in London.
In 1991, Neville de Rougemont & Associados set up a representative office in Lisbon, which, in 1998, became our head office.
Between 1998 and 1999, Neville de Rougemont acquired the practices of Messrs. Martin Reynolds and Robin Rankine, both English Solicitors whose family firm represented the majority of English residents in Portugal and their businesses for nearly 80 years.
The firm’s growth in the past years has led to the opening in November 2004 of our Faro office in the Algarve and in November 2007 of our Sal office in Cape Verde.
